Lead Lock overview

Lead Lock helps you review case evidence and ask questions in one place.

It analyzes indexed evidence, like PDFs, audio files, and video transcripts, and returns answers with citations so you can verify the source.

Use Lead Lock to find information faster. It does not replace your judgment or make legal conclusions.

Access to Lead Lock depends on your organization's plan:

  • Lead Lock is included in the AI Era plan, and Justice Premier Plus Plan, or is available as a standalone application.
  • Lead Lock requires a Pro license with Unlimited Auto Transcription, and Document Text Search enabled.
  • Lead Lock respects existing access permissions. You can only review evidence you are allowed to access (for example, your own unrestricted evidence).

How Lead Lock works

When you start Lead Lock, the system starts preparing the supported evidence in that case. After preparation is complete, you can ask questions and review responses with citations.

If Lead Lock cannot answer your question with confidence, it lets you know instead of providing an unsupported response.

Lead Lock chat sessions and any case context you add are only used during that chat. They are not automatically added to case notes or to case or evidence audit trails.

Supported evidence

Lead Lock supports the following evidence types:

  • Machine-readable PDF documents
  • Audio files
  • Transcripts extracted from supported video
Note

Images contained within PDFs are not included in analysis.

Citations and verification

Each response includes citations to the source evidence. Select a citation to review the related evidence.

Indexing and availability

Lead Lock indexes supported evidence before chat is available. During indexing, you cannot ask questions.

  • Analysis is limited to a single case.
  • Currently, a maximum of 500 cases per organization is supported.
  • Up to 1,000 evidence items can be included per case.
  • Up to 2,000 PDF pages can be included per evidence item.

When preparation is complete, the case is ready for analysis.
