Your Impact

As a Packaging Engineer on the Axon Team , you will be directly involved in ensuring Axon products make it into the hands of its customers efficiently and effectively. In this cross-functional role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Supply Chain Team, Taser Consumer, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance. The team will rely on you as a Subject Matter Expert on all packaging activities—from R&D , to deployment and continued support

What You’ll Do
Location: Scottsdale, AZ, May require up to 10% travel
Reports to: Packaging Operations Manager

  • Provides consultation concerning packaging problems and improvements in the packaging process
  • Defines overall package performance and specification and realizes technology certification through layout design
  • Provides consultation concerning packaging problems and improvements in the packaging process
  • Proactively leads cross-functional packaging deliverable project meetings
  • Address and respond to technical packaging issues
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance, consistency of practices and work quality
  • Responsible for the completion of packaging related quality system documentation
  • Responsible for package design, package design feasibility testing, successful package design verification and successful package design validation
  • Work with process engineering groups to develop and define packaging processes
  • Interface with other facilities, suppliers & contractors

What You Bring

  • The candidate should have a BS degree in Packaging Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with substantial work history in package engineering / development.
  • 5 – 7 years of secondary packaging experience
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of CAD and/or relevant engineering software
  • Knowledge of sustainable material
  • Ability to be self-directed
