Travis St. Pierre

Travis St. Pierre works for the Louisiana Department of Public Safety-Office of State Police as a staff instructor assigned to the Training Academy. His primary duties are CEW use of force reviews, lesson plan and policy development, management of the CEW program, TASER CEW training, and in-service training. In addition to being a TASER Senior Master Instructor for AXON Taser Training, he is a certified Law Enforcement Instructor and has taught in various capacities during his 28 years of public safety service with Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS. He has served as an adjunct instructor for the Louisiana State University Law Enforcement Training Academy. He is also a former Lieutenant with the New Orleans Police Department, Training and Education Division, where he supervised that agency’s CEW training and management program.

Tim McCurley

Tim McCurley has been employed with the League City Police Department since 2013 and holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Tim is currently assigned to the Administrative Bureau as the Training Sergeant and serves on the Department’s Use of Force Review Board. Tim oversees the agency’s TASER program as well as all other aspects of the agency in-service training programs.

Prior to his employment with the League City Police Department, Tim worked for the Groves (TX) Police Department from 2005 until 2013 when he moved to the City of League City. While at the Groves Police Department Tim was a Patrol Sergeant, Training Sergeant, Major Crash Team Lead, and a Hostage Negotiator.

Tim became a Master TASER Instructor in 2012 and began teaching Instructor Courses for TASER at that time. In 2019 Tim was promoted to Senior Master Instructor. Tim has various other instructor certifications to include Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor, Law Enforcement Shooter Active Emergency Response Instructor, Glock Instructor, CPR Instructor, and Below 100 Instructor. Tim also holds a Mental Health Officer certification through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

Tim's education background includes a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree from Lamar University as well as a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership & Management from Sam Houston State University.

Lamar Cousins (Facilitator)

Lamar Cousins, Axon Training Manager, started his training career over 29 years ago in the Rochester, New York Police Department. He was a certified instructor in several training disciplines including advanced firearms, counter terrorism, defensive tactics, less lethal munitions, instructor development, and was a New York State Master Instructor. During his career as a trainer he is most proud of his accomplishments in running several successful academies, coordinating the department’s in-service training program, co-developing the TASER CEW start-up program and facilitating it for over ten years. Lamar’s other assignments included managing the Background Investigation Unit and the Field Training and Evaluation program. Lamar retired from the Rochester Police Department in 2015 after 26 years of service and currently lives in Henderson, NV. Lamar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration. He has been contracting with Axon since 2004. In recent years Lamar has been responsible for Axon’s TASER CEW training content, subject matter expert in video productions, and facilitated the TASER 7 Bootcamps. He recently took on a fulltime position as Axon Training Manager and is currently responsible for managing the Axon Instructor Network and Axon’s TASER CEW Training program. He is also the Project Manager for the Body Worn Camera Certification Program, Master Instructor Schools (MIS) and assists in the production of the Axon Immersive Training in VR experiences. Lamar is honored to train with some of the best instructors in the world and looks forward to supporting the Axon Instructor Network as we continue to evolve as a leader in technology-based education.
