Repaired by hand, restored by purpose: A shared mission to support those who serve

The cars pulled in quietly—classic silhouettes, carefully restored, every detail a mark of patience and precision. Parked outside the Phoenix Convention Center during this year’s Axon Week, they caught plenty of attention. Chrome glinted in the desert sun. Hoods were popped. People gathered.

But this wasn’t just a showcase of craftsmanship. It was something more personal.

The vehicles came from Guardian Garage, and behind each one lies a deeper story: one of resilience, healing and purpose. That’s the mission of Guardian Garage, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and first responders using hands-on work as a path to connection and recovery. By teaching technical skills, offering mentorship and fostering community, Guardian Garage helps participants rebuild more than just cars—they help rebuild lives.

Their garage isn’t a place for quick fixes. It’s a place where showing up matters; where doing something with your hands helps clear the way for healing that lasts.

That mission deeply resonates with us at Axon. Our commitment to Protect Life begins with building tools for safety, but it doesn’t end there. It includes supporting the people behind the badge, the uniform and the gear. It means recognizing that mental health support is not a bonus; it’s essential.

We’re proud to partner with Guardian Garage, and especially proud to support their growth. Right now, they’re expanding with a new woodshop—another space where veterans and first responders can build, focus and find connection.

As we mark Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reminded that protection isn’t just about what happens in critical moments, it’s also about what happens after. About who shows up, and the helping hands they extend out.
