Their stories, our why
For more than a decade, thousands of stories have come through our hands. Stories of bravery, heartbreak, hope, and healing. Some took place in a single, life-altering moment. Others unfolded over years of tireless leadership. But each one carried a single, undeniable truth: Public safety is personal.
At Axon, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the men and women who wake up every day and walk into the unknown, not for accolades but because they answered the call to protect and serve their communities.
The Axon Awards exist to honor those individuals.

"You cannot do this work alone. It takes the police department, city leaders and community all working together to make a difference."
-Chief Jake Fisher, El Monte Police Department

"I recognized that he was in crisis. He wasn’t trying to harm me, he was trying to harm himself, and he needed help. I had a less-lethal option to control the situation and get him the help he needed."
-Trooper Gabriel Espinoza, Arizona Department of Public Safety
A decade of bravery, audacity and grit
The story of the Axon Awards isn’t really ours. It belongs to the thousands of men and women who quietly change the trajectory of lives every day with courage.
That’s who we honor. That’s who this legacy is for.
And every year, the Axon Awards give us the privilege of telling their stories.
