2026 Pulse of 911: Annual Industry Survey

The 2026 Pulse of 911 is peer data from the floor: 1,507 dispatchers, directors, and telecommunicators on staffing, AI, resilience, training, and wellness, comparable to prior editions back to 2023.

This is the largest sample the survey has recorded, from emergency communications centers across the United States. It documents self-reported conditions inside working centers: hiring and retention, technology in call handling, outages and cyber readiness, onboarding, and job stress. There is still no pause button in 911.
