We’re excited to announce that a redesigned Axon Evidence is coming this December!
For over 15 years, Axon Evidence has helped public safety agencies securely manage their digital evidence. But technology has come a long way since 2009. Since then, digital evidence has grown exponentially and is now central to the vast majority of investigations. According to the 2024 Trends Report, 86% of cases include digital evidence, with video being the most common and helpful form of digital evidence, and 70% of agencies say digital evidence has helped them close more cases than ever before. Despite these benefits, the growth in digital evidence has also presented challenges for modern policing.
To meet the growing demands of modern digital evidence management, our team is redesigning Axon Evidence to make it faster, smarter, and easier. At the same time, we’ve been intentional about preserving what you already know and love about Axon Evidence: its reliability, security and core functionality will remain a vital part of the system.
This year, the redesign to Axon Evidence is focusing on improving key workflows, including navigation, search, evidence details, the media player, and the administrative experience. Simply put, this redesign is making Axon Evidence more intuitive and responsive—so your agency can work more efficiently.

The new admin console brings familiar controls into a modern, centralized interface, making it easier to manage core settings today while laying the groundwork for a more unified administrative experience across Axon solutions in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the redesign launching?
The redesigned Axon Evidence will be available to all customers globally on December 2, 2025.
Will training resources be provided?
Yes. Training materials will be available starting in August and is accessible on our redesigned help documentation site and Admin support toolkit page.
Will any functionality change?
Core functionality will remain unchanged. How you navigate and complete workflows may shift to be simpler and more intuitive.
Will this impact compliance or audit trails?
Axon remains committed to upholding our security and compliance standards. All functionalities will continue to be tracked and recorded in audit trails.
Will my account settings or integrations change?
No. Your existing roles, permissions and third-party integrations will remain unchanged unless modified by your administrator.
Will my agency’s login experience change?
No. Your login and sign-in methods (SSO, MFA) will remain the same.
Do I need to take any action for my agency to have access to the redesigned Axon Evidence?
No. The redesigned Axon Evidence will automatically be available to all users. There will be a visible toggle at the user level to switch between the legacy and redesigned experience.
How can I learn more?
We hosted a series of webinars to help you understand what is coming. These sessions include the vision, reasoning, prototype demos, and Q&A. The prototypes in the recordings might look slightly different from the final launch experience, as well as the presented launch dates.
