The Adaptive Control Instructor Course delivers an immersive, principle-based training experience focused on control, movement, and decision-making in dynamic physical encounters. Grounded in ecological training philosophy, the course emphasizes learning through experience rather than instruction alone.
Participants are introduced to Adaptive Control as a scalable system addressing standing and ground engagements, threat control, and tactical decision-making, including the integration of TASER energy weapons.
Course topics include:
Principle-based combatives and control concepts
Decision-making and problem-solving in dynamic environments
Adaptive Control’s five pillars: Vertical, Horizontal, Threat Control, Threat Barrier, and Coaching
Instructor development and scalable teaching methodologies
The course includes online pre-course learning and in-person, instructor-led training, with continued development opportunities following course completion.
