Deactivate user accounts
Users with an Active status can be deactivated, to prevent them from signing in. Upon deactivation, the account status changes to Inactive, and Axon Evidence notifies the user via email. There are two methods to deactivate user accounts: in bulk from the user-search results or individually from a User Detail page.

Follow these steps to deactivate one user:
- Navigate to the menu bar at the top of the page and select Admin.
- Choose All Users from the Users section
- Use the search to find the user you need to deactivate.
- Select the user to access the User detail page.
- Select the More Actions […] menu and choose Deactivate user. The Deactivate User panel appears on the right side of the page.
- Decide if the evidence files and devices should be reassigned:
- If reassignment is needed, enter the details for the new assignee in the Reassign User field.
- Select Deactivate.

You can deactivate multiple user accounts simultaneously from the User search page.
- Navigate to the menu bar at the top of the page and select Admin.
- Choose All Users from the Users section.
- For each user you wish to deactivate, select the checkbox to the left of their name.
- Select Deactivate at the top of the search results. The Deactivate User panel appears on the right side of the page.
- Decide if the evidence files and devices should be reassigned:
- If reassignment is needed, enter the details for the new assignee in the Reassign User field.
- Select Deactivate.
- A notification message box stating how many user accounts you have deactivated will appear. Select OK.
