Reset passwords and security questions

Administrators can reset a user’s password and security questions. The user will receive an email when their login information is reset, informing them of the change and providing a temporary password. With the temporary password, they can access their account, set a new password, and select new security questions.

Reset Password from User Detail Page

To reset the password and security questions for one person, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the menu bar at the top of the page and select Admin.

  2. Choose All Users from the Users section.

  3. Find the user’s name from the list of names, or by using the Search function.

  4. Select the user's name to access the User Details page.

  5. Select the ... (More Actions) menu, then select Reset credentials.

  6. When the confirmation pop-up appears, select Reset credentials to confirm the action.

After completing these steps, the user will receive an email notification. This email will inform them that their password has been reset and will provide instructions on how to create a new password and set new security questions.

Reset Password from User Search Results

To reset the passwords and security questions for multiple users at the same time, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the menu bar at the top of the page and select Admin.

  2. Choose All Users from the Users section.

  3. Use the Search function to find users based on common criteria, such as Group, Supervisor, Rank, or any other relevant identifier.

  4. For each user requiring a password reset, select the checkbox next to the user's name. If you need to reset passwords for all users shown, select the checkbox at the top left of the list.

    Note

    You can only reset passwords for users on the current page. Navigating to the next page will uncheck the boxes on the current page.

  5. Select the ... (More Actions) menu in the upper right corner.

  6. Select Reset credentials.

  7. Select Reset credentials, from the Reset user credentials pop-up window.

Following these actions, an email will be sent to each affected user. This email explains that their password has been reset and provides instructions for setting a new password and security questions.
