Related evidence

The Related tab on the evidence details page shows extracted evidence files that were generated from the current file. It provides quick access to derivative evidence created through overlay extractions or Third Party Video conversions.

Use this tab to review related files, check their lineage, or download extracted evidence. This makes it easy to follow how derivative evidence connects to the original file and supports audit trail transparency.

View and download related evidence

  1. Select Evidence, and then search for the evidence.
  2. Select the evidence from the list to open it in the evidence details page.
  3. Select the Related tab. If related evidence exists, each extracted file is listed showing its name, extraction type, and lineage details.
  4. From here you can:
    • Open a file: Select its name and the file opens in a new browser window.
    • Download a file: Select More actions (•••), and then select Download.
Note
  • The download option only appears if you have download permission.
  • If your organization had enabled Restrict video overlays, overlay extractions will not appear in the Related tab.

What appears in the Related tab

The Related tab shows only specific types of extracted or converted files. Other derivative types remain accessible through their own tools, like Redaction Studio or video stitching workflows.
