Livestreaming
The livestreaming application for Interview lets authorized users securely view and listen to a live interview, without having to be in the interview room. It relies on your organization's local network and will continue to function in the event of an internet outage.
This video explains how to log in to the livestreaming application.
-
Select Axon Livestreaming on your desktop or from the Start menu.
-
Enter your Axon Evidence Username and Password, then select Login.
Overview
The livestreaming app has four tabs on the left side: Home, Live, Settings, and Logout.
- Home – This landing page also shows server status.
- Live – The location of most of the app's capabilities.
- Settings – Lets you add, edit, or delete a server and modify configuration options.
- Logout – Log out of Axon Livestreaming.
The Live tab has two sections.
Room panel
The Room panel shows information about all the interview rooms for your organization's system.
The circle to the right of the room name indicates room status.
- Red – Interview being recorded
- Green – Ready for interview
- Purple – Room is streaming only, no buffer is being captured
- Grey – Inactive
If there is also a warning logo, an error is associated with the room. A lock icon appears next to the room name if the room is locked during an interview.
You can filter rooms based on room name, status, and location.
Overview panel
The Overview panel displays tiles for streaming the rooms in your system. When you select a room to stream, it displays the room's primary camera on one of the tiles.
If no camera is selected or the camera is offline or not buffering, the tile view is grey. If the interviewer engages a video mask, the livestream is also masked.
If your system requires a password to view an interview room, the view is masked with a lock logo until you select the room and enter the livestreaming password.
View a livestream
Use either of the following procedures to view a camera's audio and video stream.
Note: If the interview conductor engages a video or audio mask, the stream is similarly masked.

Apply metadata
Apply metadata notes and markers while livestreaming an interview. Notes and marker information are included with the interview video when it is uploaded to Axon Evidence.
Notes and markers can only be added while an interview is in progress.
- A Note is a general description that does not link to a specific place in the recording.
- A Marker is for a specific place in an interview so you can easily locate it later.
If you add either during Instant Playback, it resides at the point in the timeline you were playing.
If a pan-tilt-zoom camera is connected, control it on the tab next to Metadata.
