System requirements

Minimum system requirements:

• Quad core processor..
• 8GB RAM
• Windows 10 (support ending October 2025)
• At least 10GB of free space for the Axon Investigate Scratch Disk.

Recommended specifications:

• Intel i7 or AMD Ryzen 5 or better
• 16GB RAM
• Solid-state drive
• Dedicated GPU
• Latest version of Windows 11

Installation

1. Download the Axon Investigate Installer.
2. In the Downloads folder, open the .exe installer to launch the software.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions and accept the terms and conditions.

This application is on-premises and downloads to your program data location. When the installation is complete, an Axon Investigate icon appears on your desktop and is in the list of programs in the Start menu of your computer.

Configure roles and permissions for Axon Investigate

By default, the role has Axon Investigate set to Prohibited.

Set users to Allowed.

Then, ensure that all associated processes within the software are also set to Allowed for the user.

Sign-In

The dialog box provides you with 3 options to sign-in:

• Axon Account Credentialed Users: Sign-in using the Axon credentials "agency domain.evidence.com" and select Continue.
• Dongle Users: Select Use Local License. This checks the license file on the dongle and associated permissions.
• Trial License Users: If you have a trial license, check your email for a 6-digit trial license code. Enter the code into the license code box and select Activate.
