Axon Investigate

Axon Investigate is a dynamic video workflow engine for law enforcement. It automatically plays back hundreds of video file types, and it significantly expedites the review, analysis, and processing of multimedia evidence. The program is separated into the following primary work areas:

This program also allows for multimedia evidence stored locally to be processed, or multimedia to be accessed directly from Axon Evidence for processing.

Interrogate tab

Allows users to playback media in a dynamic timeline, to mark frames and subclips for quick and accurate extractions, to perform in-depth file metadata analysis, and to review and interrogate files in several third-party applications.

Workflow tab

Allows users to process media in a variety of ways. Users can perform simple tasks such as resizing, cropping, and converting to new formats, or more complicated tasks such as concatenating, merging streams, and playing back media side-by-side and syncing multiple inputs on a canvas. A History audit report is available in the Workflow tab for all executed workflows and generated reports.

Narrative Report

Allows users to generate a highly customizable PDF report that embeds video, images, audio, and text.

Project Map

Allows users to add file inputs to a world map, see camera locations pinned on the map, see GPS file pins move with updating latitude/longitude, and be able to click any camera pin on the map and see the video play from that perspective. This tool includes an integrated timeline of all camera inputs and the synchronization of their events based on time.

Tools tab

Includes unique and powerful analytical tools including Duplicate File Detection, Camera Match Overlay, and VFR Lightboard Calculator. These tools are often used to calculate speeds from video.
