Configure Axon Performance
- Select Admin.
- Under Application Settings, select Performance Settings.
- Select the tab for the settings you want to configure.
Command Hierarchy
The Command Hierarchy settings in Axon Performance allow you to configure the groups you want to monitor within your command structure. See Command Hierarchy for information about creating a Command Hierarchy.
- Select the Command Hierarchy tab.
- Toggle on the groups you want to monitor in Axon Performance dashboards.
- Select Save.
- Select Edit Hierarchy, then select one of the following options:
- Reorder Groups: Select Sort in Alphabetical Order or use the Move Up or Move Down arrow next to a group to change the order.
- Move Groups: Select Move Groups, select the group you want to move, select a group to move it to, then select Move Here.
- Select Close.
Metrics
Monitor and analyze metrics from Axon devices, such as body-worn cameras (BWC), Fleet, and TASER. Set up metric goals and other metric parameters to track officer usage patterns.
- Select the Metrics tab.
- Select the tab for the device you want to configure: BWC, Fleet, Other Sources, or TASER.
- Review and update the settings for your organization's policies, then select Save.
BWC

Fleet
Choose metrics for visualization and export in group dashboards.

Unlike BWC Activation Rate, which uses exclusions to remove call types that don't require video, Fleet Activation Rate uses inclusions to specify the call types and clearance codes that do require a Fleet video.
Other sources
Choose sources for visualization in dashboards. The following evidence types are excluded and cannot be selected: firing logs, and evidence classified as Other in Axon Evidence.

TASER

Email notification
Configure automated email notifications to keep officers and supervisors informed of performance metrics and compliance status.
Supervisor feedback to officer
When completing a video review or policy review, allows the supervisor to send an email with feedback to the officer. Select the toggle to enable or disable this notification.
Untagged evidence notifications
Sends email notifications to officers in the lowest-level Command Hierarchy groups, reminding them they have evidence without a category or ID assigned.

The My Dashboard link in the notification email is only visible to recipients with the View Own Dashboard permission set to Allowed in Roles and Permissions.
Sample email
The untagged evidence notification email includes a breakdown of uncategorized evidence and evidence without an ID, organized by source (BWC, Fleet, and Other sources), with direct links to review each item in Evidence.com. Deleted videos are excluded from the counts.
Weekly compliance report

Closed loop reporting
Activation streaks
Tracks Activation Rates and sends emails to officers recognizing when they meet agency goals. This feature is only available for BWC metrics.
A streak is a continuous number of weeks where the officer meets or exceeds the configured Activation Rate goal. A measured week begins on Sunday and runs until the following Saturday.
Activation streak emails are sent on Friday at 10 AM, the week after the officer meets the streak, based on the number of days videos must be uploaded after the call for service is logged setting configured in BWC Metrics.

Sample email
The activation streak email congratulates officers on their current streak, displays their streak progress toward the next milestone, and shows the date range of the streak.
Officer clarification
Enables an officer to provide more information about calls for service without camera activations. This feature is only available for BWC metrics.
Reasons for no camera activation
Add valid and invalid reasons for missing BWC video. These reasons are combined into a single list when officers review their calls for service. If a valid reason is selected, the Activation Rate will not require a video.
- Valid reasons (maximum of 5): Reasons that are accepted as legitimate exceptions to the activation requirement.

Methods to provide clarification
Select one or more methods officers can use to submit clarification. Eligible calls are those that occurred within 12 days (Activation Rate grace period + 7 days).

Sample email
The officer clarification email notifies the officer that their streak is about to end and provides a button to view calls for service without a BWC video so they can submit clarification and potentially keep their streak going.
Random video review
Allows supervisors to view random officer videos to check for compliance with agency policies.
- Select the Video Review tab.
- Select Random Video Review.
- Review and update the settings for your organization's policies, then select Save.
Additional video sources

Review goal
Supervisors need to follow a review goal on a cycle basis. Set the number of reviews to 0 to disable the goal immediately.

Review goal notifications
Sends an email notification to supervisors of squads that have not met the video review goal.

Review summary notifications
Sends an email notification to selected administrators and command staff with a list of squads that did not complete the video review goal for the prior review cycle.

Review summary notifications are sent 2 business days following the end of the review cycle at 10 AM local time.
Review period
Select videos uploaded within the specified timeframe for review. Set a value from 1 to 180 days.
Category filter
Select the categories to exclude from video review.
Video duration
Set the minimum and maximum video length in minutes to include in the review pool.
Video review criteria
Fill out the following inputs to create criteria for reviewers to select from when conducting a video review. A maximum of 20 criteria are supported. Select Add Another to add a new criterion, or use the edit and delete icons to modify existing criteria.
Priority ranked video audit
Enables supervisors to review system-suggested BWC videos based on configured criteria. Only videos uploaded after enabling this feature are included in the audit.
Priority ranked video audit applies to BWC only.
- Select the Video Review tab.
- Select Priority Ranked Video Audit.
- Review and update the settings for your organization's policies, then select Save.
Sampling rate
Set the percentage of total eligible videos to be sampled for Signal Sidearm, TASER, and keyword events. Options: 10%, 15%, 20%, or 100%.
Event weights for video ranking
Select events and assign point values to determine video ranking priority. Signal Sidearm and TASER events are included by default with preset point values and cannot be edited.

Keyword detection groups can be added with custom keywords and assigned point values. Select the edit icon to modify point values or the delete icon to remove a keyword group.
Alerts
Only videos within the review period qualify for alerts.
