Download evidence

You can download evidence in Axon Evidence Local as a bundled file for offline access. Downloaded evidence is packaged into a single file, which expires after 3 days.

  1. Sign in to your Axon Evidence Local account.

  2. Select Evidence from the top menu, and then search for the evidence files you want to update. For more information, see How to Search for Evidence.

  3. Select the evidence you want to download to open it in review mode.

  4. Select Download Evidence (down arrow) to open the Download Evidence dialog box.

  5. Enter the following details in the dialog box:

    • Label: Enter a label for the download.

    • Password: Enter a password to secure the download.

    • Format: Select a download format: 7Z or ISO.

    • Include Audits: Select the checkbox to include the evidence audit trail in the download.

  6. Select Download. A confirmation message appears. Depending on the amount of evidence selected, the download may take several hours. If you receive an error when opening a downloaded file, you may need to install third-party extraction software. Evidence Local provides evidence files in 7Z or ISO formats. While ISO files can be used with DVD burning software, extracting the contents of either format may require compatible extraction software.



Check the download status

  1. From the Evidence page, select the Exported Evidence tab.

  2. Locate your export in the list. The Status column will display "Download" once the evidence is ready.

  3. Select Download to begin downloading the file. The exact behavior of the download depends on your browser settings.

All evidence you download is listed under the Exported Evidence tab.
