Axon Evidence Local is Axon's on-premises digital evidence management platform, built for agencies that must keep sensitive data inside their own secure network. It centralizes video, audio, images and documents from any source into a secure, high-performance repository that is deployed and controlled on agency-owned infrastructure.

Designed for organizations with strict procurement, data residency and security requirements, Axon Evidence Local provides granular access control, comprehensive audit trails with chain-of-custody reporting and configurable workflows that automate retention, review and evidence handling. This gives agencies a clear, defensible governance model that aligns with internal policies and helps demonstrate compliance in formal audits and inspections.

Axon Evidence Local integrates with the agency's identity management. It supports authentication through Active Directory / LDAP, local Axon Evidence Local users and — starting in version 6.0 — optional Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect (for IdPs such as AD FS, Okta, or Microsoft Entra ID).
