Review evidence
From the Evidence area, you can open a pre-filtered evidence view and then use filters and Advanced Search options to narrow results and locate evidence.
- Select Evidence.
- Select one of the pre-filtered tabs:
- All Evidence
- My Evidence
- Exported Evidence
- Evidence Transfers
- Use the following filters to narrow your results:
- ID: Enter the evidence file's ID number.
- Title: Enter the evidence file's title.
- User or Group: Select an option from the drop-down list.
- Date (Start and End): Enter a date range.
- Category: Select an option from the drop-down list.
- Custom Metadata: Enter the evidence file's custom metadata.
- For more options, select Advanced Search. Available filters include:
- File Type: Video, Audio, Document, Image, Weapon Logs, or Other.
- Status: Active or Queued for Deletion.
- Date Type: Recorded On or Uploaded On.
- Source: Body Worn Cameras, Fleet, Axon Air, Capture, User Upload, or Other.
- Device serial: Select a serial number from the drop-down list.
- Folder: Select a folder from the drop-down list.
- Cabinet: Select a cabinet from the drop-down list.
- Select Search. The results display in a list.
Text search details
The ID, Title, and Custom Metadata filters provide advanced text matching capability for evidence searches.
- Letters, numbers, and special characters: Comma (,), dash (-), opening parentheses ((), closing parentheses ()), slash (/), and backslash (\).
- Text matching: The text you enter can be a full or partial match of the data you are filtering. For example, if you enter 21 in the ID box, any evidence with 21 in any portion of the ID is included in search results.
- Search for multiple strings at once: Add a space between strings to perform an AND search.
- The order of text strings is irrelevant.
- Capitalization for letter characters is irrelevant.
Configure search columns
Custom columns allow you to select which columns are visible and set the order in which they are shown.
- From the Evidence Search page, select Table Settings (gear icon).
- In the Custom column settings pane, under Column Options, select the columns you want to display.
- Under Reorder columns, drag the column names to set their order.
- Select Save.
