Admin settings

This topic is intended for Axon Evidence administrators. For user-based topics, start with Introduction.

Admins can define certain ALPR settings in Axon Evidence.

  1. Select Admin, then under the Agency Settings section, ALPR Settings.
    Shows the ALPR Settings page under Admin, Agency Settings.
  2. Set durations for Read retention, Hit retention, and Snooze record alert and toggle license plate State of Origin Setting(recommended Enabled).
  3. If you also use Flock Safety, toggle Vehicle characteristics on.
  4. Select the checkbox for each category you want to generate alerts from hotlists.
  5. Select Save Shows the previously described button..

License management

Use of ALPR is licensed on a by-vehicle basis. You can enable (or disable) ALPR for one vehicle at a time or in bulk.

Warning License status can only be changed once per vehicle every 24 hours.

Assign (or remove) individual license

  1. Select the vehicle from Inventory > Vehicles.
  2. Toggle ALPR License to Enabled (or Disabled to remove).
    Shows the Evidence Inventory tab for a vehicle with the ALPR License option highlighted.
  3. Confirm by selecting Enable Shows the previously described button. (or Disable, if removing).
    Shows the Enable ALPR License dialog box.

Assign (or remove) licenses in bulk

  1. Select check boxes for vehicles in the Vehicles list.
    Shows the Evidence Inventory page for Fleet 3 highlighting the checkboxes and link options.
  2. Select Update ALPR License.
  3. Select whether to Enable or Disable.
    Shows the Update ALPR License dialog box with options to enable or disable.
  4. Select Update Shows the previously described button..
