Devices tab

The Devices tab shows live camera views and status in individual panels. Start or stop recording and control camera audio from these panels. If Dashboard is paired with an Axon Body Camera, that camera also appears here.

Start and stop recording

Select Record to start a recording for a specific camera. The button title will change to Stop. Select again to stop recording.

To start a recording on all cameras, select Record All (this does not include body cameras). Select again to stop recording on all cameras.

Full screen display

To display a camera view in full screen, select Full Screen.

Select Exit Full Screen on the full screen view to return to the normal camera panel view.

Mute audio

If your agency lets you mute and enable audio recording while the Fleet cameras are recording video, additional audio controls are available at the bottom of the associated camera panel.

Select Mute to mute the audio recording for the camera. Select again to cancel mute.

To listen to the audio from any interior camera, select the Microphone on the individual screen. Select again to toggle off.

Zoom

The Axon Fleet 3 Dual-View Camera can zoom to magnify the image in both Buffering and Event modes.

Select Full Screen for the front dual-view camera.

Use + and to zoom in or out of the view. The Zoom will end after 10 seconds; select Lock to lock the zoomed view.

Select Exit Full Screen on the full screen view to return to the normal camera panel view.

If the ALPR camera is in full screen, zoomed, or recording, ALPR will turn off until zoom or recording has stopped.

Add markers while recording

Use markers to easily find an event when replaying video. The marker appears when you play the video in Axon Evidence and is documented in the audit trail.

To add a marker while recording, select Marker at the bottom right. The marker is added to the recording for all cameras currently recording.

Device settings

If allowed by your agency, you can adjust the settings for Fleet 3 and paired body cameras.

Select Settings for the desired camera.

Adjust camera settings as needed.

Fleet 3 cameras

  • Volume
  • Outward LED
  • Inward LED
  • Stealth mode

Body cameras

  • Volume – Sets the volume of the camera’s audio prompts used to report camera status.
  • Vibration – Toggles vibrations (haptic feedback) used to report camera status.
  • LED brightness (Axon Body 3 only) – Sets the brightness of the triad (ring) LED and the top LED.
  • Stealth – Toggles Stealth mode. When on, the camera will not beep or vibrate, regardless of other settings, and all camera lights are off.
  • Orientation (Axon Flex 2 cameras only) – Sets whether the camera is mounted on left or right side of the body to ensure proper video orientation.
  • Remove camera pairing.

The camera serial number also appears on the Settings tab.

Save changes to exit.
