Alerts overview

An alert is a real-time message that indicates a critical event requiring immediate attention. Alerts are displayed in time order and can be dismissed individually.

Alerts guide users to take action or review an event. They remain available for up to 24 hours and are not stored as historical records. Because alerts are temporary, the system that generates an alert must maintain its own source of truth for historical data.

Do not use alerts as a system of record.
