Live video, playback & clips
Dock and view live cameras, access recent footage, create video clips, and use playback and grid tools effectively.
Livestreaming features in Axon Fusus require supported Axon devices with livestream capability enabled. Livestream access for Axon Body cameras is licensed per device (BWC), not through the Axon Fusus platform.
Dock multiple cameras via geofence
You can dock multiple cameras from the map by drawing a shape around an area of interest.
- On the Map, locate the area you want to monitor.
- From the Toolbar, choose one of the following shape tools:
- Draw Polygon – Draw a custom shape with multiple points
- Draw Circle – Draw a radius-based selection
- Draw on Map – Draw freeform
- Draw the shape to define your geofence. A menu appears.
- Select Dock Cameras to dock stationary cameras within the boundary.
- To move or resize a docked camera, select the unlock icon first.
- To group docked cameras in a grid, select Create Grid.
- If you select Dock Cameras and Other Devices, streaming Axon devices (Body, Fleet, Air) also appear alongside fixed cameras. Hover over each docked stream to see a line connecting it to the map icon.
Use temporary camera grids
Temporary grids group docked cameras for situational awareness. These grids are created from the map and expire after 24 hours unless saved as organization grids.
- On the Map, use a drawing tool (Polygon, Circle, or freehand) to draw a shape around the area you want to monitor.
-
In the menu that appears:
- To create a grid of stationary cameras only, select Create Camera Grid.
- To include livestreaming Axon devices (such as Body, Fleet, or Air), select Create Camera and Other Device Grid.
- The grid opens in a new browser tab. In the grid view, you can:
- Rearrange cameras by dragging the drag handle (six-dot icon).
- Pause all feeds with the Pause button.
- Navigate between pages of docked cameras with the <Prev Page and Next Page> buttons.
- Fullscreen (brackets icon) – Make the grid full screen.
- Enable slideshow (stopwatch icon) – When you have multiple pages of cameras, this rotates pages at a custom interval. Enter the number of seconds you want each page on screen.
- Edit (pencil icon) – Opens the Edit Grid dialog where you can update layout or settings. Select Save when finished.
- Playback sync (magnifying glass icon) – Opens a synchronized playback view in a new tab, aligning timeline positions across cameras.
- Operational grid (four-boxes icon) – Opens a focused operational view with one large tile and surrounding smaller ones.
- Share (three-connected-dots icon) – Opens the Share Settings dialog to grant access to other users or agencies.
- Delete (trashcan icon) – Removes the grid permanently.
- To exit the grid, close the tab or browser window.
Use organization grids
Organization grids are saved layouts of selected cameras that persist across sessions. They are created manually by users and can be reopened, edited, or shared at any time.
Unlike temporary grids, which are created on the fly from the map, organization grids are created from the Grids menu. They are not tied to geofenced selections, and they do not expire.
To open an existing organization grid, go to the Grids tab in the navbar and select a grid from the Organization Grids section.
Switch between organization and temporary grids
You can access saved grids from the Grids tab in the navbar.
- In the navbar, select Grids.
- Choose from the available grid types:
- Organization Grids are custom layouts created and saved by users. These are persistent until deleted.
- Temporary Grids include any grid created using Create Camera Grid or Create Camera and Other Device Grid after drawing a shape on the map. Temporary grids expire after 24 hours unless saved.
- Select a grid name to open it. The grid opens in a new browser tab.
- To return to the map, close or minimize the grid tab.
Use playback controls
Livestream playback is available only for devices with livestream capability enabled. For Axon Body cameras, this access is licensed per device (BWC), not through the Axon Fusus platform.

- If the camera is Axon Body 4, a microphone icon appears in the livestream window. Press and hold to speak with the device user.

Use PTZ
