Camera setup
Add, edit, organize, and share cameras in your FususONE environment. Manage camera visibility and metadata.
Add a camera
- In the navbar, select Cameras.
- On the Cameras list, select Add Camera (yellow plus sign).
- In the New Camera dialog, complete the fields on the General tab:
- Enter Name
- Public toggle
- Select Type
- Enter Make and Model
- Select Groups
- Select Control: Fixed or PTZ
- Select Disposition: External or Internal
- Select Location: Select a predefined location and floor
- Parent Camera: Assign a parent camera if applicable
- Position: Drop a pin on the map
- Directionality: Adjust viewing angle using the dial
- Select the Stream tab and enter the stream details:
- Select stream source: fususCore, Direct Connect, or External Appliance
- Deep Integration toggle
- Enter Host/IP Address and Port
- Enter Username and Password
- Enter Path and optional Secondary Path
- Select protocol: RTSP or RTMP
- Enable any additional options: SSL, Record video, or Transcode (if supported)
- Select Save. The camera appears in the list and on the map.
- Select the new camera to check the details and verify the stream.
Edit camera settings and add tags
The edit panel allows the user to update the details and add tags to the camera for sharing.
- In the navbar, select Cameras.
- On the Cameras list, find the camera you want to edit, select the Actions (⋮) button on that row, and then select the Edit (pencil) button.
- On the Edit Camera dialog, update the fields as needed and then select Save.
- To add tags, select the camera from the Cameras list, and then select the Add Tag (plus sign) button. Select a group from the menu or search, then select Add Tags to save.
Delete or clone a camera
Deleted cameras cannot be recovered. Associated recordings remain in fususVAULT unless explicitly removed.
- In the navbar, select Cameras.
- On the Cameras list, find the camera you want to edit and select the Actions (⋮) button on that row.
- To clone the camera, select Clone, modify the details if needed, and then select Save.
- To delete the camera, select Delete and then confirm the action when prompted
Share a camera
This method allows the receiving party to access the camera directly through their own interface, based on the permissions you set.
- In the navbar, select Cameras.
- On the Cameras list, find the camera you want to share, select the Actions (⋮) button on that row, and then select Share. The sharing dialog opens.
- In the sharing dialog:
- Select the organization or user.
- Set the access level.
- Optionally, define an expiration date.
- Select Save to finish.
Search and filter camera list
- In the navbar, select Cameras.
- Use the Search bar at the top of the screen to find a camera by name, tag, or ID.
- Apply filters using the Filter panel (e.g., online status, location, disposition).
- Combine filters to narrow results further.
- Select a camera from the results to view or manage it.
Parent/child camera relationships
Parent cameras act as umbrella views that group related sub-views (children) together for streamlined monitoring.
- In the navbar, select Cameras.
- On the Cameras list, find the camera you want to edit, select the Actions (⋮) button on that row, and then select the Edit (pencil) button. The Edit Camera dialog opens.
- In the Parent Camera field, search for and assign the appropriate parent camera.
- Select Save.
