Community Surveys

Community Surveys lets your organization build, distribute, and analyze surveys to collect structured feedback from the community members you serve or work with. Whether you are measuring satisfaction after a call for service, gathering public input at a community event, or checking in on officer wellness, Community Surveys gives you the tools to ask the right questions and act on the answers.

Community Surveys is part of the Axon Community Link product suite, alongside Community Notifications, Community Request, and Community Forms.

What Community Surveys does

Community Surveys brings three core things together in one place:

  • Build custom surveys: Create surveys with multiple question types, conditional logic, and a customizable closing message tailed to your organization's needs.
  • Distribute surveys: Share surveys by direct link, QR code, embedded web form, or automatically through Community Notifications after a call for service.
  • Analyze responses: Review individual responses and see trends visualized in an interactive baseboard, with filtering by date, source, demographics, and sentiment.

Survey types

You can use Community Surveys across several scenarios:

  • Post-contact feedback: Automatically or manually send surveys after calls for service or public contacts to measure sentiment, including procedural justice, officer professionalism, and community trust.
  • Community input: Collect public feedback at events like town halls, national Night Out, or Coffee with a Cop.
  • Employee check-ins: Confidential surveys organization staff to track wellness, job satisfaction, and morale.

How it works

  1. You create a survey in the Admin console, setting up questions, conditional logic, and settings.
  2. You distribute the survey by direct link, QR code, embedded form, internal sharing or through integrated Community products.
  3. Recipients complete the survey on any device using a mobile-friendly web form.
  4. Responses are collected and aggregated in real time.
  5. You and your team review responses and visualize trends in the customizable dashboard.

Permissions

Permission Default Description
Agency Administrator On Full access to all Community Survey features, including settings, surveys, and responses.
Manage Community Surveys Off Create, edit, delete, share, export, and duplicate surveys.
Manage Community Survey Responses Off Read-only access to surveys. Share surveys by direct link or QR code.
View Community Survey Responses Off View individual responses and the analytics dashboard.
