These release notes describe all user-facing changes that will be included in the next Axon Fusus releases, along with advance notice of major upcoming features, updates, and applications.

Scheduled releases for August include:

Releases begin rolling out at 9 AM Pacific time and may continue through the following day. We do not expect any downtime during these updates. Please note that availability is subject to change. Web experience features and enhancements

Add plate to hotlist from search results

You can now add license plates directly to a hotlist from ALPR search results, including table, card, and detail views. Access is based on your account permissions.

Officer identity on Fleet vehicles

Added officer identity to Fleet vehicle map dots and device cards in fususONE Web, so operators can see who's signed in to a vehicle. Added the ability to search for Fleet vehicles by officer name and badge ID.

Agencies can now make Fusus the single place to run ALPR searches

The ALPR Fleet Search tab in evidence.com can be turned off for your agency, routing users to Fusus LPR Search. Because Fusus captures a Case Number, Offense Category, and Reason for search, consolidating gives your agency a consistent audit trail and helps meet requirements for documented search purpose. This is opt-in — contact your Customer Success Manager to enable it.

Real-Time Alerts Rules page loads correctly on first visit

Fixed an issue where the Real-Time Alerts Rules page failed to load on first navigation, showing an error until the page was manually refreshed.

Alert Rule panic activation

Fixed an issue where Panic Activation alerts from Axon Body Mini were sent to all users in an organization, regardless of alert rule settings.

Web experience bug fixes and maintenance

Eligible sharing organizations now sort correctly by distance

Fixed an issue where organizations in the "Share with Organization" dropdown were sorted alphabetically as strings rather than by actual distance, causing closer organizations (e.g., "169" miles) to appear below farther ones (e.g., "1100" miles). The list now sorts correctly by proximity to the sharing organization.

Live updates for grids and shapes in Incident Management

Fixed an issue where grid overlays on the Incident Management map were only visible to the user who created them and disappeared if that user left and returned to the incident. Shape updates also required a manual browser refresh to appear for other users. Grids and shapes now sync in real time for everyone viewing the incident — no refresh required — and grids are automatically visible when reopening an incident. (Note: while a user is actively resizing a grid, incoming grid updates from others are paused until they finish; shape updates continue as normal.)

ALPR PDF export image crop

Fixed an issue where vehicle images in Fusus ALPR PDF exports didn't match the images shown in search results, sometimes showing only the road with the vehicle cropped out or missing. PDF exports now show the correct vehicle image and crop, consistent with ALPR Search results.

3P provider display names on hotlist toast

Toast notifications for external hotlist matches now show the third-party provider's display name instead of an internal code.

Mobile (iOS and Android)

Force update for Android - FususOPS and Respond mobile apps

To keep Axon device livestreaming working, both apps now require a minimum Android version:

  • FususOPS Android - version 4.1.0 or later

  • Respond Android - version 7.0.0 or later

If you're on an older version, you will need to update before continuing. Updating from Google Play takes only a moment: once you're on a supported version, livestreaming and all other features continue to work as normal. Most users are already on a supported version and won't see any change.

Availability: The update requirement begins rolling out the week of August 24, 2026.

Android bug fixes and maintenance

Voice comms stay connected through network handoffs

Fixed an issue where switching between Wi-Fi and cellular could drop an active voice call. Calls now stay connected through network changes.

 

Alerts continue arriving after backgrounding

Fixed an issue where alerts stopped arriving after the app was backgrounded. Alerts now continue to arrive without needing to reopen the app.

 

Map layers update in real time

Fixed a delay where map pins and objects only updated on the next refresh cycle. Map layers now update in real time.

 

Biometric sign-in support

You can now unlock with biometrics on both Axon and Fusus sign-in.

 

Sign-in recovers from dropped connections

Fixed an issue where sign-in would load indefinitely if the connection dropped during Axon SSO. Sign-in now recovers gracefully.

 

Improved multi-camera grid scrolling stability

Fixed stability issues when scrolling through the multi-camera grid.

 

Availability: Rolling out gradually beginning the week of August 17th, reaching all users within about a week.

Web experience bug fixes and maintenance

Inactive body cameras no longer disappear from the map

Fixed an issue where body cameras in sleep mode or with a stale, non-docked status would disappear from the map. These devices now remain visible as gray dots showing their last known status; only docked devices are removed from the map. Admin configuration to control how long non-docked cameras display on the map coming soon

Boundary edits now take effect in real time

Fixed an issue where changes to an alert boundary did not take effect until the page was manually refreshed. Boundary edits now apply immediately within the current session.

Audit log improvements

Fixed several specific issues with audit log filtering, exports, and permission-change details, and corrected a display issue affecting video duration in some cases.

Fullscreen Video and 911 call side pane now simultaneously viewable

Fixed an issue where opening the 911 Call pane and taking a docked camera fullscreen would cause the call pane to block a portion of the video. Fullscreen video now resizes to fit alongside the open 911 Call pane, so both remain visible and usable at the same time.

ALPR Diagnostics page

A new ALPR Diagnostics page lets you pull a quick snapshot of your ALPR alert-pipeline configuration directly in the product, with one-click copy for sharing details with support. Availability: US1, US4, CA1

Add vehicles to hotlists from ALPR Search

You can now add a vehicle to a hotlist directly from ALPR search results.

External hotlist management for third-party hit alerts

Support for managing Hit Alerts from third party systems in Fusus Hotlist Management experience in a new External Hotlist tab.

Third-party hotlist alerts now included in ALPR audit reporting

Email and webhook alerts for third-party hotlists are now included in ALPR audit reporting. Availability: US1, US4, CA1

Data-sharing restriction banner in ALPR Search

ALPR search now shows a banner when results are limited by data-sharing restrictions.

Alert toast fix

Fixed an issue where CAD alert toasts could stop appearing in real time when the Axon Devices layer was active on an Agency/Legacy SSO account, while calls were still being processed normally in the background.

Real-Time Grid sync for active incidents

Incident commanders and operators can now work from a shared, always-current picture when using grids in an active incident. When you open an incident that has a grid set up, it will automatically be visible without any extra steps. As your team makes changes — moving objects on the map, redrawing shapes, updating the grid, or adding and removing room clearance icons — those updates appear for everyone in the incident in real time. No need to refresh the page or tap "Refresh Map View." If you step away and come back to an incident, you will see the latest version of the grid right away. Note: if you are actively resizing the grid, you will not see grid changes from other users until you finish. Updates to shapes and objects from your teammates will still come through during that time.

Full Chat members list now displays

Fixed an issue where the channel Members list only showed the first 20 members with no way to scroll; the list is now fully scrollable.

Incident-to-Chat workflow fixed

Fixed an issue where incidents created within the Fusus web application could not be sent to a Chat channel.

iOS features and enhancements

iOS 4.0.4 This release improves On/Off Shift, across both location sharing and notifications.

Shift and location sharing: Your shift and location-sharing status now appear in a single status pill at the top of the map, showing at a glance whether you're on or off shift and whether your location is being shared.

  • Tap the pill to open a menu and choose your status:

    • On shift, location sharing enabled

    • On shift, location sharing disabled

    • Off shift, location sharing disabled

If location sharing is turned off in your settings or restricted by your organization, the menu shows this too.

Note: Going off shift pauses all push notifications automatically, and going back on shift resumes them.

Availability: Available for manual update in the App Store by the end of the week of August 10th. Automatic updates complete by the end of the week of August 17th.

CAD alert toast styling fix

Fixed an issue where CAD alert toasts could revert to the legacy toast style when the Axon Devices layer was turned off, even though the agency's new alert format was enabled.

Android bug fixes and maintenance

This release improves reliability across the map, livestreaming and voice comms.

  • Map:
    •  The map now stays centered on a teammate or location when you select one, instead of drifting off-target.
    • Camera cluster counts now reflect your active status filters, so the number on a cluster matches the cameras you've chosen to see.
    • Users with livestream access can now open a livestream from a map pin reliably, including right after signing in.
    • Improved map stability during heavy alert and multi-camera activity.
  • Livestreaming:
    • The app now stays open when you move to another screen while a livestream is running.
    • Livestreaming from your phone is more reliable, with broadcasts staying active for their full duration.
  • Voice comms:
    • Voice comms now reconnects automatically after Stealth mode is turned off on Axon Body 4 and Axon Body Workforce Mini, with no need to start the call manually.
