  • Case Task inboxes now have a new tabbed interface to help you manage tasks more efficiently. The inbox organizes tasks as follows:
    • To Do (default): Tasks that need your immediate action
    • Submitted for Review: Tasks you have sent for review
    • Rejected Requests: Tasks that have been rejected

Records general release

This section includes information about upcoming features and updates that are available in all production environments.

Report Writer

The following update will be applied to the production environments of all agencies on September 17, 2024.

  • When searching to add a person to a report, you'll now see flag names displayed on profile cards. Previously, a flag was indicated by a simple alert icon.
  • Now, if you have a report open in multiple browser tabs and attempt to edit it, you'll see a warning message. This message alerts you that you must close all other tabs the report is open in before continuing to work on the report.

The following feature will be available for all agencies to use in their production environments on September 4, 2024. Contact your Axon representative to have it activated for your agency.

  • Now, when you export a CSV file of search results, each report within an event will appear on its own row. The Event ID, Report ID, and all other report details appear in each report's row.

The following feature will be available for all agencies to use in their production environments on September 4, 2024:

  • Now, in People Search, you can use the Match Preferences > Include old profile versions filter to search for information from old, merged profiles. This helps you find historical data that isn't shown in the current profile.
    • To view complete information from old profiles, open a profile from the search results and select Actions > View merged duplicates.
    • For example, you believe a person used to be named Barney Stinson but their name has changed. To find this person, you can use this filter and search for their old last name. Your search results show this person's current profile, in which their name is Barney Smith. However, in the highlighted portion of the search result, you can see that your search "matched on" their old last name of Stinson.

Profiles

The following update will be applied to the production environments of all agencies on September 4, 2024.

  • You can now navigate to specific pages in the Associations section of profile pages. Choose a page number or use arrows to move between pages. Previously, you could only use arrows.

Case Management

The following feature will be available for all agencies to use in their production environments on September 4, 2024. Contact your Axon representative or Axon Support to have it activated for your agency.

  • Case documentation, including case tasks, case documents, and case summaries, now appear as clickable links on search results in People, Organization, and Vehicle Search. In a future update, this functionality will be extended to Incidents and Events Search. Case documentation also now appears in the Associations section of Person, Organization, and Vehicle profiles.
    • To ensure data privacy and security, only authorized users can open these links and view the documentation. This authorization is based on unit inbox privileges: users can only see case documentation for the units they have access to. If a user who does not have the required unit privileges tries to open one of these links, they will see a message informing them that they have insufficient privileges.
    • Your agency can be configured instead so that these links only appear for users who have the required unit privileges to view the documents. For example, if a user has Homicide inbox privileges, they will see case documentation links for Homicide cases. They won't see case documentation links for Robbery cases, or for any other unit they don't have privileges for.
      • Contact your Axon representative to have this feature activated for your agency.
