Pairing with an Axon Camera

Before you can access live or recorded video from an Axon camera, you must connect Axon View with the camera.

The connection process differs slightly among different Axon camera models.

Axon Body and Axon Flex

Axon Body and Axon Flex use Bluetooth connections only. The Bluetooth pairing process must start with the camera turned off.

Axon Body 2 and Axon Flex 2

Axon Body 2 and Axon Flex 2 use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections. Wi-Fi is required for viewing live or recorded video.

Pairing with an Axon Body 3

Note Internet access is required for pairing an Axon Body 3 camera with Axon View. Authorization expires approximately every 10 days.
  1. Turn on the Axon Body 3 camera.
  2. Open Axon View, select an Axon Body 3 camera, and tap Initiate Pairing.
  3. Simultaneously press the Program and Event buttons and release them.
  4. You will hear three rising tones, the Operation LED blinks blue, and PAIRING appears.
  5. Follow on-screen instructions and tap the camera serial number.

Connecting to Axon Body 2 or Axon Flex 2

  1. Ensure the camera/controller is turned on.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on the mobile device.
  3. Open Axon View.
  4. Select your camera model under Camera.
  5. Tap Initiate Pairing.
  6. Hold the Function and Event buttons until the LED blinks green and four beeps sound.
  7. Select the camera serial number when it appears.

Android: Pairing completes automatically.

iOS (automatic Wi-Fi allowed): Tap Activate Wi-Fi and Join.

iOS (manual Wi-Fi required):

  1. Tap Continue when prompted.
  2. Tap Configure Wi-Fi.
  3. Install the profile when prompted.
  4. Open Axon View.
  5. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and connect to the camera network.

When live video appears, pairing is complete.

Reconnecting (iOS)

  1. Open Settings > Wi-Fi.
  2. Select the camera network.
  3. Return to Axon View.

Pairing with Axon Body or Axon Flex (Bluetooth Only)

  1. Ensure the camera is turned off.
  2. Enable Bluetooth.
  3. Open Axon View and select the model.
  4. Hold the volume/pairing button.
  5. Turn the camera on while holding the button.
  6. Release when the LED blinks.
  7. Select the device under My Devices.

When live video appears, pairing is complete.

Unpairing or Forgetting an Axon Camera

Axon Body 2 or Flex 2

  1. Open Axon View.
  2. Tap the menu icon.
  3. Under Camera, tap Forget Current Camera.

Axon Body or Flex

  1. Open Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the camera device.
  3. Select Forget This Device.
