Permits

The following privileges related to permits appear in the Permits privilege category.

Within this category, there are "static" privileges, as well as workflow privileges. Generally, the static privileges determine which buttons and options appear to users when they open a permit. The workflow privileges determine which actions a user can take on permits, depending on the permit's current state (Draft, Finalized, etc.).

Workflows

Once created, a permit moves through a workflow. Each state is associated with multiple privileges, which give you granular control over which users can take actions on a permit, based on its current state.
A workflow shows four states. The process starts with Draft in a blue box, moves to Review in another blue box, and branches into two outcomes: Permit Denied in a red box and Permit Approved in a green box. Arrows indicate the direction of flow between the states.

The Permit workflow privileges appear at the end of the category. Within the workflow subcategory, privileges are sorted by state. The states are listed alphabetically, not by the order in which they appear in the workflow (e.g., Permit Approved, which is a final state, appears before Review).
The screenshot displays a category titled Permits with an expanded view. The Permits category shows 4 of 4 privileges allowed with options to Allow All or Prohibit All. Within this, the Workflow - Permit Workflow category is highlighted in yellow, with Allow All and Prohibit All options. Subcategories include Draft State and Permit Approved State, each with their own Allow All and Prohibit All options.

The hover tooltip for the Draft State - Create tasks privilege provides additional details about the workflow as a whole, and not just the Create tasks privilege.
The screenshot shows the Workflow - Permit Workflow section. The Draft State subsection is expanded. Under Draft State, specific privileges include Assign tasks to themselves and Create tasks, each with radio buttons for Allow (selected) or Prohibit. A tooltip next to Assign tasks to themselves explains that tasks move through the following states: Draft > Review > Permit Approved/Denied.

The table below explains how each workflow privilege works.
