Warrants

The following privileges related to the Warrants module appear in the Warrants privilege category.

Within this category, there are "static" privileges, as well as workflow privileges. Generally, the static privileges determine which buttons and options appear to users when they open a court paper. The workflow privileges determine which actions a user can take on court papers, depending on the court paper's current state (Draft, Finalized, etc.).

Workflows

Once created, a court paper moves through a workflow, for example, Draft → Finalized. Each state is associated with multiple privileges, which give you granular control over which users can take actions on a report, based on its current state.

The following workflows are used in the Warrants module:

Warrant

Court papers that do NOT require a review move through the following workflow:
The image shows a simple flowchart with two states. The process starts with Draft in a blue box and moves to Finalized in another blue box, with an arrow indicating the direction of flow.

Warrant Review

Court papers that DO require a review move through the following workflow:
The image shows a flowchart with three states. The process starts with Draft in a blue box, moves to Review in another blue box, and concludes with Finalized in a third blue box. Arrows indicate the direction of flow between each state.

Warrant Assignment

Warrants can be assigned for service. During this process, the warrant moves through the following workflow:

The privileges for workflows appear at the end of the Warrants category. Each workflow has its own subcategory, and within that subcategory, privileges are sorted by state.
The image displays the Warrants category with privileges grouped into categories such as Access, Activity Logs, and Manage Warrants, each showing the number of privileges allowed alongside options to Allow All or Prohibit All. A highlighted section expands Workflow - Warrant Assignment Workflow, showing subcategories like Closed State and Open State. Each subcategory lists the number of allowed privileges with options to manage them.

The states are listed alphabetically, not by the order in which they appear in the workflow (e.g., Closed, which is the final state, appears before Open). The hover tooltip for the Draft State - Create tasks and Open State - Create tasks privileges provide additional details about the workflow as a whole, and not just the Create tasks privilege.
The image displays the Workflow - Warrant Workflow subcategory. Under Draft State, a privilege for Create tasks includes a tooltip that explains how reports move through the workflow.

The table below explains how each workflow privilege works.
