Mandatory firmware updates required for Axon VR training

Starting April 14, 2026, Simulator Training and vRBT Live Action will require all supported VR headsets and controllers to be updated to the latest firmware before training can continue. When launching training after April 14, users will be prompted to complete required headset and controller firmware updates before they can launch Simulator Training. These updates support new platform capabilities, including compatibility with the Rifle VR Controller (VRM4R) in Simulator Training.

For more information how to update firmware, see Update firmware for VR Controllers and the FAQ How do I check or update the headset firmware?
