What to know before your interview

PRO TIPS

Do the Research

Review the Axon product offerings and the applications of the technology. Identify a product or service that resonates with you, and prepare a story of how your background intersects the solutions.

Aim Far

We always have an eye on the future. Read the Axon Environmental, Social, and Governance report to learn what matters to us and what we’re prioritizing for our future.

Know Your Audience

Research the people you will be meeting. You’ll get a good sense of how they think and what’s important to them just by reading their Linkedin profile.

Get to Know Our Values

Our Values are the foundation of everything we do (and we’ve already mentioned one on this page). Take a look to learn what they mean to us so you can share how you live them.

Know Thyself

Review your background to anticipate where interviewers may delve into your experiences. Prepare to show the interviewer how you’ve applied feedback to deliver outcomes.

Ask Away

Our interviews go both ways: they’re just as much an opportunity for you to get to know Axon as it is for our team to learn more about you.

THE INTERVIEW PROCESS

1. The Application

So, you’ve found a role (or roles) that you’d like to explore! Now comes the application process. We try to keep this bit brief, and just ask that you make sure your resume is a great reflection of the skills you’ll need for the job.

2. Reviewing Your Resume

Each resume is reviewed by a real human—either a member of our People Ops team or the hiring team for the role. We’re looking for the most qualified applicants for each role. Once we make a decision, we notify all candidates via email.

3. Our First Chat

During this first conversation we’ll chat through the basics and take time to learn more about the skills and experience you could bring to Axon.

4. Diving Deeper

If you’re applying for a more technical role—like a Software Engineer—we want to show us all your powerful coding skills, we have options for you to complete, both online and with one of our tech screeners, as we realize everyone has preferences. If you are applying to one of our corporate or business roles our hiring managers are eager to chat with you during this round.

5. Meet the Team

This is a chance for you to get to know the team—managers, teammates and internal stakeholders. Zoom is the current go to, but we also interview over the phone or in person.

6. What’s Next

Interviewing can be time consuming and stressful, and we thank you for taking the time to get to know us. Whatever the final decision, we’ll let you know as quickly as we can. Please note, we do not provide feedback at any stage. If this role isn’t a match, we invite you stay connected and apply again.
