Axon’s Response to COVID-19
Mar 17, 2020
Supporting public safety is at the core of what we do here at Axon, and as we stand together with you — our public safety partners — in the face of an unprecedented challenge, we first and foremost want to recognize all those who have been impacted by COVID-19. We extend our thoughts and wishes for recovery to those who are sick, and our gratitude to the first responders and health professionals who put it all on the line to care for those who need it most.
The health and safety of our employees, families, and customers is of the utmost importance to us as we collectively navigate this evolving situation. Our mission is to protect life, and as this pandemic poses new threats to the health and well-being of our communities, we would like to share a few updates and steps we are taking to ensure the best support to you, our customers, as you continue to protect others.
Axon has continually monitored CDC guidelines and has accordingly advised employees to work remotely and limit travel only to that which is absolutely essential. We have stepped up hygiene practices in the facilities that need to remain open to deliver on our promises, such as our manufacturing areas and shipping warehouses, and any employee who is feeling ill or has potentially been exposed to COVID-19 has been instructed to stay home and fully self-quarantine for 14 days, as the situation requires. These steps ensure that we can continue to provide you with unmatched products and services while helping to protect the health of our communities.
Supporting our customers as they support our communities in this challenging time is our top priority. We can assure you that Axon’s customer operations are not expected to see interruption through the COVID-19 challenges. Customer support, technical support, ordering, online store and deployment services are operating normally and our team is here to help. While some installation services and training may be delayed due to current circumstances, we are working directly with impacted customers in those cases. Our team may propose remote alternatives to meetings that would normally occur in person. We appreciate your flexibility and open-mindedness as we leverage videoconferencing and limited travel to help prevent the spread of this virus. We will continue to adapt to this evolving situation with the best interests of our customers and the communities they serve in mind.
Axon's Global Supply Chain team remains vigilant and prepared to adapt to challenges in the globalized world. In 2019 our Global Supply Chain team took action to diversify our supply chain and global manufacturing footprint. As a result of these actions we are in a better place to handle COVID-19, as we are able to produce and ship our critical core products with little to no interruption. We feel confident in our preparations, and while there are still many unforeseen challenges that lay ahead, we are fully committed to working through them together to ensure the best experience for our public safety partners.
Thank you for working with us, and thank you for being part of the Axon network.
