Your preferred MFA method is now easier to find at sign-in
Your most recently used multifactor authentication (MFA) method now appears directly in the main list of sign-in options, labeled "Last used," so you can select it without hunting through additional menus. This applies to email, SMS, and voice call methods — the Axon body-worn camera option is always listed first when enabled by your organization.
Availability: Available for all organizations by March 31, 2026.
New “delete case” permission
A new, separate permission is being added for the ability to delete a case. Previously, users with the “Edit case” permission could delete cases, which can result in unwanted deletion. Admins can now control which roles can delete cases, while still giving other users the ability to edit cases.
Availability: Available in all regions by March 31, 2026.
Export role permissions as CSV or PDF
You can now export a full list of permissions for any role as a CSV spreadsheet or a formatted PDF document, making it easier to review, share, and audit role configurations.
Availability: Available in all regions by March 31, 2026.
Admin Evidence playback settings changes
In the Evidence playback settings, on the Overlay tab, the Dynamic setting for Recorded on, which causes the "Recorded on" time in a video overlay to advance along with the video, will only apply to video from third-party (non-Axon) sources. Video from Axon devices shows the time in the video, so the "Recorded on" time in the overlay will only show the start time of the recording. Your existing setting won’t change. The Watermark tab sets where the "Viewed by" watermark appears in video and image evidence, with 5 position options. Note that the date shown in "Viewed by" is in the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) zone, and that can't be changed.
User and group import pages redesigned for clarity and safety
The User Import and Group Import pages are updated to make bulk imports clearer and safer. The pages now show how Axon Evidence uses External ID to decide whether to create or update a record, a loading indicator appears while an import is processed, and External ID is now optional for new records — Axon generates one automatically if left blank. Synchronize options now require an explicit confirmation step to prevent accidental data changes.
Availability: Available in all regions by March 31, 2026.
Admins can now define redaction reasons for audio masks
Redaction reasons are now supported for audio masks. Admins can create reasons in Redaction Settings, and users can select them when adding audio masks in Redaction Studio — bringing audio masks in line with how redaction reasons already work for video.
Availability: Available to Redaction Assistant customers.
View evidence video and images permission
A new View evidence video and images permission is being added to the Evidence Management permission section. This permission controls whether users can view the underlying media for evidence items (view videos, see images, hear audio, etc.) This permission will be automatically assigned to all roles that currently have the View Unrestricted Evidence, View Restricted Evidence, and View Confidential Evidence permissions, so users will not lose existing access to media following this release. For newly created roles, this privilege will default to Prohibited.
If you want any roles to be able to access evidence transcripts and metadata (for example, so they can use Draft One), but NOT view the underlying media, you can prohibit this permission.
See Draft One administration - Assign permissions for more information.
Availability: This update will roll out to all regions in March.
Resolved issues
These fixes will be deployed to all customers by March 31.
- Admin: When adding more users with "Add Another," the role field now clears properly between submissions. Previously, the field appeared to retain the previous role selection, but submitting the form returned an error requiring you to clear and re-select the role manually. The role field now resets to empty as expected, and you can select any role without encountering errors.
- Admin: The actions menu on the User Detail page now shows all actions you have permission to do. Previously, the menu was hidden entirely if you didn't have User Administration access, even if you had other relevant permissions such as Generate User Audit Trail Report. It does only show the actions you have permissions to do.
Partner API updates
The Axon Evidence Partner API Guide has been updated with the changes to the Partner API. You can view the API Guide at https://developers.axon.com. If you are unable to access the API Guide site, see Accessing the Axon Developer Community.
The following changes are part of the Axon Partner API for March:
- A webhook for ALPR hits is now available. The webhook will send notification when a hit is registered in Axon Evidence. Information on the webhook is now on https://developers.axon.com.
- The Retrieve Audit Events by Event Type endpoint request announced in December for some regions will be available to all regions by March 31, 2026.

Axon Evidence
Share a filtered evidence search with a secure link
You can now share a filtered evidence search in the redesigned Axon Evidence by copying a pre-generated URL from the Saved search menu. Select Share current search to copy a link to your clipboard. When someone opens the link, they land on the Evidence search page with the same filters applied. (Evidence access permissions still apply). Learn more at Find evidence.
Availability: All regions
Evidence and case table multi-select with Shift + Click
You can now use Shift + Click in the evidence and case tables to select multiple rows at once, reducing the need to manually select individual checkboxes and making bulk actions more efficient. Learn more about searching for evidence.
Availability: All regions
Document text search
Document Text Search is now in the redesigned Axon Evidence for Pro users, making typed text in newly uploaded PDF (.pdf) and Word (.docx) documents searchable while respecting existing evidence access permissions. Existing documents are not automatically indexed; you may request a one-time backfill priced based on document volume by contacting your Axon representative. Document Text Search is enabled by default and can be turned off by admins using the Search Across Document Text permission.
Saved searches integrated into the search bar in the redesigned Axon Evidence
Saved searches have moved into the search bar and are now accessed through a dropdown. This change makes it easier to find and switch between saved searches while searching for evidence. Learn more about saved searches.

Resolved issues
The following issues are resolved in the redesigned Axon Evidence search page:
- User filter now re-combined back into a single dropdown containing Owner (selected by default), Uploaded by (selected by default), and Access list, so results will match the same as a User filter in the legacy experience.
- Date filter now re-combined back into a single dropdown containing Recorded on (selected by default), Uploaded on (selected by default) and Deleted on, so results will match the same as a date filter in the legacy experience.
- Deleted evidence can now be selected for export.
- Request access button added in Gallery view when users have List but not View evidence access permissions.
- Category filter label updated from “None” to “None / Uncategorized” for uncategorized evidence.
- After entering a query in the search bar, users can now quickly narrow down to a single field by clicking the “Matched on” column dropdown then selecting “Only” on hover.
Axon Performance
Video Review Goals: Improved “Per Officer” Tracking
We’ve fixed the queueing logic and clarified how Video Review Goals work when configured per officer to better match how agencies intend to track reviews. When a review goal is set to Per Officer, the system now tracks the required number of reviews for each individual officer, rather than treating the goal as a single total across the entire squad. This ensures review workloads and accountability are distributed evenly. For more information, see Random Video review Settings in Axon Performance.

Case Management
New case details page and folder experience in the redesigned Axon Evidence
The redesigned case details page will introduce a cleaner, more intuitive layout that makes it easier to view case information and switch between evidence, notes, and sharing tools. This update also brings a new folder experience with a familiar folder tree structure for faster browsing, organization, and drag and drop movement of evidence. Together, these updates are designed to help you triage large cases more efficiently, maintain clear visibility of all evidence, and streamline case organization across teams. See Case details page to learn more.
Availability: All regions
Removed group expansion in the Internal Access drawer
The Internal Access drawer on the evidence and case detail pages now displays groups by name only, instead of expanding to show individual members. Each group name links to the group details page to view full membership. This addresses performance issues previously experienced when cases or evidence were shared with large groups, which could result in slow page loads, browser freezes, and excessive memory usage. The drawer is now lightweight and responsive at any group size, with no impact to underlying access permissions or group membership behavior. Availability: All regions
Resolved issues
- Resolved an issue where editing case metadata (such as description or ID) was incorrectly blocked if the case owner was inactive; validation now applies only when changing the case owner.
- Case Assignee Email Notifications: We fixed an issue where case assignees were not receiving email notifications when new evidence was added to their case by other users or Axon automation, despite the notification setting being enabled.
- Updated the text description on the Send Partner Agency Request dialog to provide clearer messaging when adding an agency to the "My Agency can send to" list. The previous wording, introduced with the January/February 2026 sharing invitation flow changes, was unclear about the outcome of the request. The dialog now reads: "If [recipientAgencyName] accepts your partner request, the users in your agency will be able to share with the users or groups in that agency."
Form One
Introducing Form One
Form One is Axon’s new AI-powered reporting-writing assistant that helps users complete report forms faster. This tool is a downloadable browser extension that can be used with most web-based forms. Form One analyzes data from various sources, including camera footage that has been uploaded to Axon Evidence and user-provided narration, to provide suggestions for auto-filling report form fields. Users can review and insert these suggestions into their forms and submit them.
Availability: Form One is currently in Early Access and is available to trial for all AI Era Plan customers based in the U.S. with web-based forms and reporting systems. Contact Axon Support if you are interested in trialing this new product.
Evidence viewing and playback
Clearer Recorded On overlay and watermark timestamps
The Recorded On overlay is now intentionally static (non‑ticking) for Axon body-worn and Fleet video, so it consistently represents when recording started. This helps reduce confusion when comparing the overlay to the burned‑in watermark, which shows the camera’s wall‑clock time in the video frames and can differ when pre‑event buffer is present.
Learn more about Recorded On overlay and watermark information.
Availability: All regions
Reposition the Viewed by watermark when reviewing evidence
You can now reposition the Viewed by watermark while reviewing video and image evidence to reduce obstruction of key details. The metadata overlay’s Viewed by watermark now displays a UTC timestamp to clarify the timezone shown.

X26P CEW firing log viewing in the redesigned Axon Evidence
X26P CEW firing log evidence is now supported in the redesigned Axon Evidence. Logs open on the evidence details page using the standard PDF viewer. Learn more about viewing document evidence.

Resolved issues
- Large PDF loading: Large PDF files now display a dedicated “Loading large document” status message indicating that the document is still loading and may take additional time to appear.
- PDF zoom in Justice: Zooming into PDFs now preserves full document visibility, with scrolling correctly exposing all content at any zoom level.
- Blank spinner on first load: An issue causing the media player to show only a loading spinner on first load has been fixed; the player now initializes and displays controls consistently.
- Play Original File switch: For eligible third‑party videos, an on‑screen switch now allows selection between the original file and the converted file, maintaining access to legacy clips and markers

Audio Redaction Assistant
Audio Redaction Assistant helps you identify commonly redacted PII using the transcript (like names, dates, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and national identification numbers). You can review suggested redactions before applying them. Applied redactions affect the audio and appear in the waveform. The Audio PII assistant is also available in bulk redaction for up to 20 audio or video files. Learn more about using Redaction Assistant.
Availability: US1, CA1
Audio redaction margins in Redaction Studio
You can now add redaction margins to transcript-based audio masks so redactions better cover words when transcript timing is not exact. Margins add time before and after detected speech and apply when redacting audio from a transcript. Margins include preset options and a custom option, and are measured in milliseconds. The maximum margin length is two minutes. Learn more about using Redaction Studio.
Availability: US1, CA1
Oval mask shape in Redaction Studio
Redaction Studio has a new oval mask shape for all mask types (object tracker, manual masks, and AI-generated masks), to help you better fit masks to round or curved objects. After you add a mask, you can change its shape to oval. Learn more about using Redaction Studio.
